New and updated user roles in the contract module
The contract module is to be updated with new and adjusted user roles on August 24th.
The improved roles will give you more flexibility to separate who has access to which functionality.
Two new roles are implemented
Template administrator can create and manage everything related to the contract templates.
Contract signee can sign contracts.
Three roles are adjusted
Contract approver can approve or decline a contract. The functionality to sign a contract is removed and replaced by the role Signee.
Contract administrator can create contracts and send them for approval. The functionality to create and administrate contract templates is removed and replaced by the role Template administrator.
Department manager has read access to contracts in the department. The functionality to create contracts is removed.
One role is removed from the contract module
Person administrator
During the release, we will migrate some roles to ensure that the users don’t lose functionality they had before. You can limit or update their access afterwards if wanted.
Contract administrators will automatically also be assigned the role Template administrator.
Contract approvers will automatically also be assigned the role Contract signee.
Person administrators will automatically also be assigned the role Contract administrator.
Department managers for customers with the system setting give personnel administrator-access to department leaders on, will automatically also be assigned the role Contract administrator.
Be aware that by adding the role person administrator to new persons, it will not automatically give them access to the employment contracts. You need to add the role that is suitable for what the person should have access to.
